1920年在印度加尔各答附近一个山村里，人们发现狼群里有两个人类孩子。人们打死了狼后，在狼穴里发现两个狼孩，大的八岁叫卡玛拉，小的两岁叫阿玛拉。狼孩刚被发现时，生活习性与狼一样；用四肢行走；白天睡觉，晚上出来活动，怕火、光和水；只知道饿了找吃的，吃饱了就睡；不吃素食而要吃肉（不用手拿，放在地上用牙齿撕开吃）；不会讲话，每到午夜后像狼似地引颈长嚎。阿玛拉在第二年去世，卡马拉活到十六岁，经过7年的教育逐渐恢复人性。野性和好身体估计是男主比不上的
